Schooling In New-Zealand



It offers a safe learning environment which provides excellent study opportunities and support services for international students. Courses are available for academic, professional and vocational studies at universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, secondary schools and private training establishments. New Zealanders are well travelled, with a great interest in people from other cultures, so visitors and international students soon feel more than welcome. Campuses are highly international, with students from all corners of the globe studying and socialising together. Students come from Europe, South East Asia, the UK, North Asia, Japan, South America, India, and Australia, amongst many others. New Zealand offers a progressive education to help students take a leading place in the exciting global environment, with many New Zealanders working internationally or involved in collaborative research with many prestigious overseas universities.

Schooling In New-Zealand
  • One parent or guardian can accompany students to study in NZ Primary and Secondary Schools.
  • The student must be 17 years or younger attending from Year 1 to Year 13.
  • The student obtains a student visa.
  • The Parent can obtain a visitor’s visa and be granted a visitors permit for the purpose of living with and caring for, a foreign fee paying student – (Guardian Visit Visa)
  • They must meet health and character requirements for temporary entry.
  • The parent/guardian will be issued a multiple entry visitor’s visa allowing a stay in NZ for 12 months or less if the student is staying for less than 12 months. If the student is staying for more than 12 months the parent can apply for an extension.
  • The parent must show they have $1000 NZ per month and return air tickets.
  • The parent can apply for a variation to the visa in New Zealand if the parent wants to study part time or wishes to work between the hours of 9.30am and 2.30pm. The parent does not need a job offer.
  • Students from 13 to 18 years attending secondary schools do not have to have a parent or guardian accompanying them and the schools will provide safe home stay facilities. This costs approximately $220 – $240 per week for a single room and three meals a day .
  • No IELTS are required.
Student can start his term mid way and do not have to attend full year.
Student can also work after acquiring permissions from the parents and the school authority. 20 Hrs per week during the school and full time in summer vacation.
Students under the age of 13 yr must be accompanied by one of the parent to New Zealand , student aged 14-17 yrs parent can apply but its not compulsory.
